The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Isaias Bernad threw the ball into play from the sideline. Formentera's Elberg Monte quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Blas Estevez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan-Frode Aarseth having to make a save. Jan-Frode Aarseth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blas Estevez in the 4th minute. After a rather tough play, NTA19's Christer Eidsvåg got a free kick in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the match, NTA19's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Estevez came free, but Jan-Frode Aarseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Grøndalen in the 12th minute of play forced Formentera's goalkeeper Jonathan Joestar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blas Estevez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jan-Frode Aarseth made a huge save. Astor Etxahun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the match, NTA19's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Estevez came free, but Jan-Frode Aarseth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Frode Aarseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Benvide, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Wilfredo Benvide fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Formentera's protests and gave Wilfredo Benvide a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Formentera getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. NTA19's Rune Grøndalen got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Formentera's Blas Estevez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan-Frode Aarseth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in NTA19's zone, Blas Estevez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Frode Aarseth came out of the goal and Blas Estevez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blas Estevez got free with Jan-Frode Aarseth in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jan-Frode Aarseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Estevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Jan-Frode Aarseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Estevez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute Rune Tronstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Joestar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Rune Grøndalen managed to get in a good position for a shot. NTA19's supporters rose to their feet, but Rune Grøndalen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Joestar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Blas Estevez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute Blas Estevez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Frode Aarseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Formentera's Jonathan Joestar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Grøndalen in the 69th minute of play. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by NTA19's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Amador Modestio was slow to take the kick. During this time Formentera's players had a chance to rest. Amador Modestio made a great header on Formentera's corner, it was just that NTA19's Jan-Frode Aarseth managed to reach the ball for a save. After 77 minutes of play, Formentera's Blas Estevez made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan-Frode Aarseth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jan-Frode Aarseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Estevez in the 80th minute of play. Jan-Frode Aarseth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Astor Etxahun in the 92nd minute of the match. Elberg Monte charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elberg Monte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Formentera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elberg Monte to maneuver through the defense. Formentera's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
