With his leg Godo Gøl managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when Silver Squad AFC's Timmy Van Goethem fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 7 minutes into the match, Jirko Bur had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommie Vaes. Silver Squad AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jirko Bur was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Tommie Vaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ray Büeler in the 13th minute of play forced Silver Squad AFC's goalkeeper Tommie Vaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommie Vaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommie Vaes was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Tommie Vaes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Silver Squad AFC's Tommie Vaes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommie Vaes. In the 45th minute Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommie Vaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Silver Squad AFC's Tommie Vaes. Tommie Vaes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The wind increased when Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon made the kick off in the second half. Tommie Vaes was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Silver Squad AFC's Tommie Vaes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Silver Squad AFC from getting a goal against them. Silver Squad AFC's Tommie Vaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon in the 60th minute of play. Ray Büeler was extremely unlucky when he, in the 63rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Tommie Vaes. FC Lugano's Adriano Rossignol was substituted for Garnier Nüesch. In the 71st match minute, Silver Squad AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dyllen Severyns to maneuver through the defense. Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon succeeded in the game's 74th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-10. Tommie Vaes came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Lugano's Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon. But to his dismay, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. Ray Büeler hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Silver Squad AFC defense, Ray Büeler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommie Vaes. The Silver Squad AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommie Vaes should have stopped the shot. Ray Büeler received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tommie Vaes came out and tried to block the shot, but Ray Büeler slotted it home off the left post making it 0-13 in the 90th minute. With a little luck, Silver Squad AFC's Tommie Vaes got control of the ball when Joe Blum tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tommie Vaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ray Büeler in the 96th minute of play. The Silver Squad AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Lugano were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
