After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Chadli Rimitti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portage Lakes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Chadli Rimitti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gara Seng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lili Haddadj came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Cleobury Mort's Anil Chai. But to his dismay, Anil Chai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 32nd minute Mahieddine Djamel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gara Seng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anil Chai in the 34th minute of play forced Portage Lakes FC's goalkeeper Lili Haddadj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Portage Lakes FC defense, Steven Lee kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lili Haddadj. The Portage Lakes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lili Haddadj should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Portage Lakes FC's zone, Anil Chai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lili Haddadj came out of the goal and Anil Chai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Portage Lakes FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Abdelmalek Sifi hit a great ball. 5-0 became the score in the 41st minute when Lamar Peng elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lamar Peng in the 44th minute of play forced Portage Lakes FC's goalkeeper Lili Haddadj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Anil Chai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cleobury Mort fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

Portage Lakes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anil Chai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Anil Chai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lili Haddadj having to interfere. In the 61st match minute, Portage Lakes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abd el Saïd-Guerni to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lamar Peng in the 63rd minute of play forced Portage Lakes FC's goalkeeper Lili Haddadj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Steven Lee ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lili Haddadj was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0.
