The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, CF Deportivo Ramón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Benavides to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Milton Salazar in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shoto Maathai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Waldir Oporto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Moscoso in the 12th minute of the match. Waldir Oporto made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Kenan M'Vila sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, CF Deportivo Ramón's goalkeeper Waldir Oporto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Max Moscoso. Waldir Oporto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kenan M'Vila in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, CF Deportivo Ramón's Franklin Pinho got a free kick in the 30th minute. Waldir Oporto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ang Reifer in the 33rd minute of the match. Kenan M'Vila came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Waldir Oporto could save by the left post. Veracruz F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rolando Alfaro in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, CF Deportivo Ramón's Jorge Costas got a free kick in the 38th minute. Kenan M'Vila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Waldir Oporto made a huge save. With his leg Waldir Oporto managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Veracruz F.C.'s Kenan M'Vila fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marcos Guzman kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. CF Deportivo Ramón's Waldir Oporto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ang Reifer in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Waldir Castillo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenan M'Vila in the 58th minute of play forced CF Deportivo Ramón's goalkeeper Waldir Oporto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waldir Oporto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ang Reifer, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Waldir Oporto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ang Reifer in the 62nd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Max Moscoso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Waldir Oporto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. CF Deportivo Ramón's Waldir Oporto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Manuel Facuse in the 70th minute of play. A collision led to CF Deportivo Ramón getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Jorge Costas hit a great ball. Veracruz F.C. made a substitution. Alberto Ortiz replaced Kenan M'Vila. Jorge Costas kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Waldir Oporto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CF Deportivo Ramón's Waldir Oporto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Ortiz in the 78th minute of play. Max Moscoso took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Waldir Oporto. Waldir Oporto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 83 minutes of play, Veracruz F.C.'s Ang Reifer made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Waldir Oporto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Waldir Oporto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Moscoso in the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute Alberto Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Oporto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ang Reifer kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, CF Deportivo Ramón's Jorge Costas got a free kick in the 94th minute. Waldir Oporto came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Veracruz F.C.'s Alberto Ortiz. But to his dismay, Alberto Ortiz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. There was no doubt that Veracruz F.C. were the better team. Veracruz F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
