Mulyana Sitorus went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led PSM Ayerba's Mulyana Sitorus to fire away a dangerous shot which Hardy Arbi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daus Budikusuma in the 18th minute of play forced Tjibuluheun HT's goalkeeper Hardy Arbi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boy Mulia got free with Hardy Arbi in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the game, Heri Wijaya cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Fadhly Suprianto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute, Ferry Febrian made a precise shot to the right of Fadhly Suprianto. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
