Honduras's Eraldo Guzman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desislav Sergeev in the 2nd minute of play. After 2 minutes of play, Botev Plovdiv 1912's Desislav Sergeev made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eraldo Guzman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eraldo Guzman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Hansson in the 8th minute of play. Eraldo Guzman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desislav Sergeev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Viscarra in the 11th minute of play forced Botev Plovdiv 1912's goalkeeper Joacim Dromph to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Alf Hansson sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eraldo Guzman. If Alf Hansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the game, Botev Plovdiv 1912's Desislav Sergeev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eraldo Guzman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When Honduras's Sultan-Mehmet Khan, in the 26th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Botev Plovdiv 1912's Joacim Dromph proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Botev Plovdiv 1912 from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd match minute, Botev Plovdiv 1912 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tota Fabbri to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute of the match, Eliseo Bentos sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Joacim Dromph showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. With a little luck, Botev Plovdiv 1912's Joacim Dromph got control of the ball when Sultan-Mehmet Khan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Botev Plovdiv 1912's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eliseo Bentos was slow to take the kick. During this time Honduras's players had a chance to rest. In the 40th match minute, Botev Plovdiv 1912 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tota Fabbri to maneuver through the defense. Eraldo Guzman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alf Hansson went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Botev Plovdiv 1912 were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sultan-Mehmet Khan made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Desislav Sergeev tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eraldo Guzman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alf Hansson came free with the goalkeeper in the 56th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eraldo Guzman could save by the left post. The corner led Botev Plovdiv 1912's Lukasz Okropny to fire away a dangerous shot which Eraldo Guzman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 61st minute Selvin Rosales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joacim Dromph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Desislav Sergeev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eraldo Guzman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desislav Sergeev in the 65th minute of the match. Joacim Dromph made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sultan-Mehmet Khan in the 68th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Botev Plovdiv 1912's Eraldo Guzman threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Desislav Sergeev, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Botev Plovdiv 1912's goalkeeper Joacim Dromph, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Botev Plovdiv 1912's Evtim Stanov was substituted for Desislav Sergeev. Botev Plovdiv 1912's Bogdan Gornishki was substituted for Mo Jian Ming. A nice corner shot did that Eliseo Bentos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joacim Dromph quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 77th minute of the match Botev Plovdiv 1912 got a corner. Honduras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lukasz Okropny ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Botev Plovdiv 1912's Lukasz Okropny to fire away a dangerous shot which Eraldo Guzman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alf Hansson in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eraldo Guzman saved Honduras from getting behind. Eraldo Guzman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evtim Stanov in the 79th minute of play. Honduras's Eraldo Guzman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sultan-Mehmet Khan in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joacim Dromph prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alf Hansson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 91st playminute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Botev Plovdiv 1912 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
