With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vitor Tejedor in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cankut Wakabayashi saved Turkey from getting behind. Turgut Soyuer scored 1-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xove Tijerina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Turgut Soyuer in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xove Tijerina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Turkey were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Servet Sönmez took the corner. After taking down the ball on Turkey's corner Servet Sönmez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Xove Tijerina quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vitor Tejedor in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cankut Wakabayashi saved Turkey from getting behind. A throw-in in the 37th minute of the game was made by Sayvion Guanes with Primitivo Grau as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Turkey's Cankut Wakabayashi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitor Tejedor in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Turgut Soyuer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Turkey's supporters crossed their fingers, but Turgut Soyuer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Turgut Soyuer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Turkey's supporters rose to their feet, but Turgut Soyuer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xove Tijerina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute of the game Servet Sönmez made a throw-in which Halim Talat played forward. Vitor Tejedor struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Cankut Wakabayashi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Sayvion Guanes kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vitor Tejedor was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Turkey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Servet Sönmez to maneuver through the defense. Vitor Tejedor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cankut Wakabayashi having to make a save. Cankut Wakabayashi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitor Tejedor in the 59th minute of play. Uruguay's Berenguer Anda was substituted for Yaniusky Pardo. 65 minutes into the game, Solustiano Blea threw the ball into play from the sideline. Turkey's Tevfik Hunalp quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 66th minute Turgut Soyuer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xove Tijerina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Turkey made a substitution. Ali Nurettin replaced Halim Talat. Turkey's Cuma Oruk was substituted for Hilmi Tanpınar. Berenguer Anda's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cankut Wakabayashi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Turkey's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Berenguer Anda 93 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
