Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sebastian Käller started the match with the kick off. Daniel Kieca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Käller in the 6th minute of play. In the 6th minute Sebastian Käller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Kieca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sebastian Käller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Kieca was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. The Sweden fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Sweden's Sebastian Käller looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Daniel Kieca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Käller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaf Eklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Majewski in the 14th minute of the match. In the 14th match minute, Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mieszko Dombroski to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Poland getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Mieszko Dombroski hit a great ball. Wojciech Krzynowek made in the 19th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Damian Majewski immediately put the ball in play. In the 21st minute Henrik Berg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Kieca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Sebastian Käller had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Kieca. Poland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Käller was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadeusz Raschke got free with Gustaf Eklund in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Käller in the 28th minute of play forced Poland's goalkeeper Daniel Kieca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaf Eklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadeusz Raschke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Sweden's Sebastian Käller nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Kieca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After the first half Sweden were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Sweden's Gustaf Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeusz Raschke in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poland's goalkeeper Daniel Kieca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gustaf Eklund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tadeusz Raschke's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Cezary Makomaski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustaf Eklund. Sweden's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cezary Makomaski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Sweden's Gustaf Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wojciech Krzynowek in the 67th minute of play. Daniel Kieca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egil Sjögren in the 68th minute of the match. Poland made a substitution. Damazy Joks replaced Tadeusz Raschke. Gustaf Eklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damazy Joks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damazy Joks struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Gustaf Eklund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poland. Poland's Daniel Kieca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Poland from getting a goal against them. 84 minutes into the match, Poland's Iwan Kasiewski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustaf Eklund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gustaf Eklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cezary Makomaski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaf Eklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damazy Joks in the 90th minute of play. Gustaf Eklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezary Makomaski, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damazy Joks in the 94th minute of play forced Sweden's goalkeeper Gustaf Eklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sweden eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
