Arnaldo Toledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niks Mus in the 5th minute. Keno De Bruyne took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnaldo Toledo. Arnaldo Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gil Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trond Bjørheim having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fluminense Football Club's Arlindo Andrade got a free kick in the 16th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Adam Svenningsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dum Dum Boys Athletics's supporters rose to their feet, but Adam Svenningsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnaldo Toledo was a little too slow when Keno De Bruyne got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. 24 minutes into the game, Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Keno De Bruyne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnaldo Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niks Mus got free with Arnaldo Toledo in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Asbjørn Hollund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dum Dum Boys Athletics's supporters rose to their feet, but Asbjørn Hollund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnaldo Toledo was a little too slow when Keno De Bruyne got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 4-0. Niks Mus scored 5-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnaldo Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Asbjørn Hollund in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnaldo Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gil Maciel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fluminense Football Club's Arnaldo Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asbjørn Hollund in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Fluminense Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Niks Mus came free, but Arnaldo Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Asbjørn Hollund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Fluminense Football Club defense, Pedrinho Geromel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnaldo Toledo. The Fluminense Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnaldo Toledo should have stopped the shot. Arnaldo Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niks Mus, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Arnaldo Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keno De Bruyne in the 67th minute of the match. Arnaldo Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asbjørn Hollund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Lucas during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fluminense Football Club made a substitution. Frédson Amaral replaced Zeca Alagoano. Keno De Bruyne took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnaldo Toledo. Arnaldo Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. If Dag Liseth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kiko Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. A collision led to Fluminense Football Club getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Tiago Gabriel de Lara hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Adam Svenningsen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnaldo Toledo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. César Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. If Asbjørn Hollund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dum Dum Boys Athletics walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
