Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roni Coryn in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manfredo Vieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee felt a red card was in order, 25 minutes into the game, when Baldomero Vellon put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Caaguazu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Manfredo Vieira, was totally fooled by Bacardi FC's 于光德, who 27 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a defensive mix-up in Caaguazu's zone, 于光德 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manfredo Vieira came out of the goal and 于光德 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manfredo Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roni Coryn in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roni Coryn in the 40th minute of play forced Caaguazu's goalkeeper Manfredo Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roni Coryn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Manfredo Vieira made a huge save. After 44 played minutes Caaguazu got a freekick which was hit by Miro Olivos. Manfredo Vieira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roni Coryn's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a rather tough play, Caaguazu's Reyes Barcenilla got a free kick in the 51st minute. Gendo Panjaitan hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Bacardi FC's Roni Coryn got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute of the match Panait Udrea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manfredo Vieira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Geert-Jan Tuytgans's late challenge caught a Caaguazu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geert-Jan Tuytgans helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Geert-Jan Tuytgans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76thth minute of the game Roni Coryn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caaguazu's Manfredo Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Caaguazu's goal looked a bit too open when Roni Coryn came free, but Manfredo Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manfredo Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Custódio in the 92nd minute of the match. Caaguazu's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
