In the 7th minute Miska Cavia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bearach McSteve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Miska Cavia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bearach McSteve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miska Cavia in the 8th minute of the match. Miska Cavia might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bearach McSteve. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miska Cavia ran back to his position shaking his head. U21 Ireland's Bearach McSteve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miska Cavia in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, one of U21 Ireland:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. U21 Ireland:s Bearach McSteve showed great skill when he stopped Miska Cavia:s penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Healey McDecland got free with Daniel Jajko in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bearach McSteve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miska Cavia in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Miska Cavia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bearach McSteve. U21 Ireland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miska Cavia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Miska Cavia put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Bearach McSteve. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Corey Keegan took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Daniel Jajko to make any attempt to save it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miska Cavia was the one to do the kick off. Miska Cavia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Bearach McSteve made a huge save. Bearach McSteve made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Miska Cavia sent off a good shot on target. 54 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bearach McSteve narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Miska Cavia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bearach McSteve having to make a save. With a little luck, U21 Ireland's Bearach McSteve got control of the ball when Miska Cavia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Healey McDecland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Daniel Jajko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. U21 Ireland's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Miska Cavia scored to the left of an out of position Bearach McSteve, making the score, 1-4. Miska Cavia might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bearach McSteve. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miska Cavia ran back to his position shaking his head. 67 minutes into the match, U21 Ireland's goal looked a bit too open when Miska Cavia came free, but Bearach McSteve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bearach McSteve made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miska Cavia in the 78th minute. When U21 Poland's Miska Cavia in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Ireland's goalie prevented a goal. Szczepan Gargasz struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Bearach McSteve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwo Fafinski, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. U21 Poland's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
