Christian Trombetta came out of the goal and Ermanno Del Duca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christian Trombetta came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by CA Boca Jrs's Cristiano Marzulli. But to his dismay, Cristiano Marzulli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ermanno Del Duca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Trombetta having to interfere.

The audience was convinced that Ermanno Del Duca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Trombetta was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Cristiano Marzulli in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. CA Boca Jrs's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
