Egbert Matthijs ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 44th minute, Pim Hertog made a precise shot to the right of Alwin Baatenburg. PSV Eindhoven's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. The Dukaton f.c. fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when Dukaton f.c.'s René Klijnstra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half Dukaton f.c. were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Theo Tevreden to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Pim Hertog reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alwin Baatenburg. The goal made the score 0-8. In the 61st minute of the match, Egbert Matthijs got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alwin Baatenburg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. But to his dismay, Egbert Matthijs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-14. When the final whistle sounded Dukaton f.c. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than PSV Eindhoven.
