The Cloonlumny fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavin Harkin should have stopped the shot. Gavin Harkin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Derry McGlynn in the 8th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gavin Harkin. That made the score 2-0 after 10 minutes of play. Alfredinho Teixeira hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Alessandro Queirós ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gavin Harkin. Gavin Harkin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 16th minute, Derry McGlynn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredinho Teixeira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Gavin Harkin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 21 played minutes Ballybunion Celtic F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Queirós. In the 25th match minute, Ballybunion Celtic F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derry McGlynn to maneuver through the defense. Gavin Harkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Cloonlumny's Declan McJames got a free kick in the 27th minute. After 29 minutes of play, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Alfredinho Teixeira made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gavin Harkin was left in no man's land by his defense there! 34 minutes into the game, Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gavin Harkin. Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. In the 43rd minute Alessandro Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavin Harkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Derry McGlynn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Derry McGlynn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gavin Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ballybunion Celtic F.C. booed when Cloonlumny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Declan McJames didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredinho Teixeira was the one to do the kick off. Alfredinho Teixeira took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gavin Harkin. Gavin Harkin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Oliver Lavine kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Beartlai McPhil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gavin Harkin. Cloonlumny's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Kadri Uğurtay in the 63rd minute of play forced Cloonlumny's goalkeeper Gavin Harkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 minutes of play, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Alfredinho Teixeira made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gavin Harkin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredinho Teixeira in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavin Harkin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70th minute, Alfredinho Teixeira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gavin Harkin was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. Jânio de Barros was a little too slow when Barclay McFrank got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 10-1. Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Jânio de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barclay McFrank in the 77th minute of play. Gavin Harkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derry McGlynn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th match minute, Cloonlumny was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Lavine to maneuver through the defense. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Derry McGlynn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-1. Gavin Harkin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henry McPeter got in the 94th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jânio de Barros handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 97 minutes into the game, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Alfredinho Teixeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gavin Harkin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-1. When the referee ended the match the Ballybunion Celtic F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
