Debatik Cane's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xhenit Alia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. After some careless play in the Qerret defense, Sabit Kolaci kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xhenit Alia. The Qerret fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xhenit Alia should have stopped the shot. Igli Spahiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frenk Naço kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Qerret booed when Golden Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luli Buna didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Dori Gjondeda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Qerret's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dori Gjondeda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xhenit Alia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xhenit Zeqiri, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Debatik Cane came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Xhenit Alia could save by the left post. Sabit Kolaci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Xhenit Alia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Golden Team's Sabit Kolaci sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xhenit Alia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Erin Topi scored 2-0 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xhenit Alia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Debatik Cane was the one to do the kick off. Debatik Cane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Sabit Kolaci notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Qerret's Xhenit Alia. Xhenit Alia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sabit Kolaci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xhenit Alia having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Erald Sukaj left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Golden Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Golden Team's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
