With his leg Franklin Paredes managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Bolivia's Ignatius Abancens fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 20thth minute of the game Ignatius Abancens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Franklin Paredes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignatius Abancens in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franklin Paredes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ismael Quijada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Luis Galarza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honduras's Franklin Paredes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. Bolivia's Luis Galarza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Carrillo in the 24th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ignatius Abancens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franklin Paredes was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Franklin Paredes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Honduras's Sultan-Mehmet Khan was substituted for Primitivo Carrillo. Franklin Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignatius Abancens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bolivia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
