Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Martin Rutsch made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gutierre Lauri in the 5th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Zsolt Kuncz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Switzerland got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gutierre Lauri ran over to the corner to take the kick. István Pápai tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Zsolt Kuncz. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 6th minute. Máté Gelencsér could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Kim-André van der Schans made a huge save. Zsolt Kuncz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrien Amrein, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Switzerland booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mátyás Zakariás didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zsolt Kuncz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Rutsch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kim-André van der Schans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Máté Gelencsér, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Hungary's Máté Gelencsér sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kim-André van der Schans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zsolt Kuncz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gutierre Lauri in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Switzerland's goalkeeper Kim-André van der Schans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gutierre Lauri in the 39th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Zsolt Kuncz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zsolt Kuncz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gutierre Lauri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrien Amrein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Máté Gelencsér to make the kick off. Switzerland's Kim-André van der Schans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Máté Gelencsér in the 53rd minute of play. Máté Gelencsér took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kim-André van der Schans. Kim-André van der Schans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gutierre Lauri was slow to take the kick. During this time Switzerland's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Switzerland's Gutierre Lauri to fire away a dangerous shot which Zsolt Kuncz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Máté Gelencsér notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Switzerland's Kim-André van der Schans. Kim-André van der Schans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Switzerland's Diego Marthaler was substituted for Ronald Bucheli. Switzerland's Toni Jehle was substituted for Gavin Reinhardt. A sloppy throw-in by Silvan Bragger in the 67th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Hungary's Márk Pálfi. After having played for 70 minutes, Máté Gelencsér managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Máté Gelencsér was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Hungary's Máté Gelencsér in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hungary's Miklós Barabás was substituted for Gábor Takács. 84 minutes into the game, Tivadar Demeter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Tivadar Demeter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kim-André van der Schans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Mátyás Zakariás hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tivadar Demeter in the 90th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Kim-André van der Schans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hungary had won after a very even match.
