The mood of the audience was pleasant when Arvin Sutrisna made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Arvin Sutrisna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kim-André van der Schans was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 6 minutes in the game, Arvin Sutrisna dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Ricky Hasudungan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kim-André van der Schans having to make a save. With an all-out effort, Switzerland's Haji Sarap threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Martin Rutsch, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arvin Sutrisna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haji Sarap didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin Rutsch went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Haji Sarap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianni Giammarino, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Indonesia's Arvin Sutrisna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kim-André van der Schans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvin Sutrisna in the 24th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Kim-André van der Schans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Rutsch in the 26th minute of play forced Indonesia's goalkeeper Haji Sarap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Arvin Sutrisna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kim-André van der Schans was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Indonesia's Haji Sarap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrien Amrein in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Switzerland's goalkeeper Kim-André van der Schans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arvin Sutrisna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Switzerland's goalkeeper Kim-André van der Schans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arvin Sutrisna took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kim-André van der Schans. Kim-André van der Schans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After some careless play in the Indonesia defense, Martin Rutsch kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Haji Sarap. The Indonesia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Haji Sarap should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute Arvin Sutrisna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim-André van der Schans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martin Rutsch to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arvin Sutrisna got free with Kim-André van der Schans in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Haji Sarap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Rutsch in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute Adrien Amrein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haji Sarap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Arvin Sutrisna came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Indonesia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arvin Sutrisna couldn't finish the play. Haji Sarap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrien Amrein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Switzerland's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Arvin Sutrisna scored to the left of an out of position Kim-André van der Schans, making the score, 2-4. In the 74th minute Indonesia were awarded a corner. Hanung Sephtianda went to the cornerflag to take it. Indonesia's Hanung Sephtianda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kim-André van der Schans in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Kim-André van der Schans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Coky Sugandi in the 85th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Coky Sugandi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kim-André van der Schans. Coky Sugandi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-6. 96 minutes into the match, Coky Sugandi notched a goal, 2-7, to the right of Switzerland's Kim-André van der Schans. Kim-André van der Schans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Indonesia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
