Seating: 2372, VIP seats: 206) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Yerko Gold made the kick off which started today's match. Ivan Krile showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yerko Gold in the 7th minute of the match. With a little luck, U21 Chile's Saka Goleš got control of the ball when Bo Cantona tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute, Yerko Gold made a precise shot to the right of Ivan Krile. U21 Croatia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, U21 Chile's goalkeeper Saka Goleš had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mislav Oršić. After 18 played minutes U21 Croatia got a freekick which was hit by Pravdan Knego. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yerko Gold in the 19th minute of play forced U21 Croatia's goalkeeper Ivan Krile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Yerko Gold left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 24 minutes into the match, U21 Chile's goalkeeper Saka Goleš had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bo Cantona. Saka Goleš took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franjo Fabijanić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franjo Fabijanić struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Saka Goleš didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Croatia. Yerko Gold's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Krile read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute U21 Chile were awarded a corner. Guillermo Velarde went to the cornerflag to take it. 35 minutes into the match, U21 Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Yerko Gold came free, but Ivan Krile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, U21 Chile's Yerko Gold sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Krile narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, U21 Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Yerko Gold came free, but Ivan Krile reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saka Goleš was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Mislav Oršić capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mislav Oršić really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3.
U21 Croatia's Bo Ibrahimović was substituted for Franjo Fabijanić. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bo Cantona to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, U21 Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Manuel Gajardo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of U21 Chile booed when U21 Croatia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toni Mačković didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Croatia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Yerko Gold scored to the left of an out of position Ivan Krile, making the score, 1-4. U21 Croatia's Hrvoje Lukašek was substituted for Sofyan Amrabat. Yerko Gold's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Krile read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th minute of the match U21 Chile got a corner. U21 Croatia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guillermo Velarde ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Adrián Frick heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. A collision led to U21 Chile getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Guillermo Velarde hit a great ball. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Croatia's goalkeeper Ivan Krile, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. U21 Croatia's Ivan Krile proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Croatia from getting a goal against them. A sloppy throw-in by Pravdan Knego in the 81st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U21 Chile's Severo Aninat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yerko Gold in the 82nd minute of play forced U21 Croatia's goalkeeper Ivan Krile to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saka Goleš showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mislav Oršić in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 88th minute Bo Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saka Goleš saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. U21 Chile walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
