Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Bulek Idris made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 5th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Espiridion Durazno went to the cornerflag to take it. Espiridion Durazno made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Malaysia's Bulsky Subagdja managed to reach the ball for a save. When Gian Saron, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 5 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Bulsky Subagdja was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 7th minute Hardy Sinambela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calixto Inchaurdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Malaysia's goal looked a bit too open when Gian Saron came free, but Bulsky Subagdja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Goite in the 26th minute of play forced Malaysia's goalkeeper Bulsky Subagdja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gian Saron stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bulek Idris in the 77th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Calixto Inchaurdi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Bulek Idris kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Calixto Inchaurdi. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Calixto Inchaurdi should have stopped the shot. Malaysia made a substitution. Jojo Mainaky replaced Bulek Idris. In the 91st minute of the match, Evelio Inguanzo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bulsky Subagdja saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Inguanzo in the 93rd minute of play forced Malaysia's goalkeeper Bulsky Subagdja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jojo Mainaky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
