The audience thought a goal was coming when Jovica Zeković got free with Tifo Marinović in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jovica Zeković took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tifo Marinović. Tifo Marinović dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. U21 Serbia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
