Estonia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Raido Pulver took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Ovidio Roland to make any attempt to save it. After 44 played minutes Estonia got a freekick which was hit by Eerik Eha. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Vladimiro Lauro made the kick off in the second half. When Mexico's Vladimiro Lauro in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Estonia's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raido Pulver in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidio Roland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Estonia made a substitution. Udo Alles replaced Peeter Ruuda. Elmo Türk kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match Héctor Adomaitis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kasper Schmeichel skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Heriberto Lazcano hit a great ball. Mexico made a substitution. Ladislao Erramu replaced Vladimiro Lauro. Mexico's Ernesto Ponce was substituted for Héctor Adomaitis. Mexico's Mohamed Bale was substituted for Elpidio Curcio. Heriberto Lazcano made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Estonia's Tarmo Elken. Raido Pulver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mexico's Ovidio Roland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raido Pulver in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Raido Pulver ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidio Roland was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Estonia's Kardo Ylipikk was substituted for Tarmo Elken. In the 79th minute Udo Alles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidio Roland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Raido Pulver ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidio Roland was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. The throw-in from Mikk Tuur in the 93rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Mexico's Ernesto Ponce. Estonia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
