U21 Belarus's Mscislav Galaj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrés Maroto in the 12th minute of play. Emanuel Messi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Andrés Maroto sped through U21 Belarus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mscislav Galaj. Vladislav Chupris hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Mscislav Galaj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrés Maroto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pakhom Garavsky hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute of the match Adulfo Moya sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mscislav Galaj skillfully saved the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sergey Urban to make the kick off. Mscislav Galaj was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Andrés Maroto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andrés Maroto really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. The audience was convinced that Andrés Maroto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mscislav Galaj was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Reimundo Sainz kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. U21 Belarus's Andrey Hauryk got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Mscislav Galaj managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when U21 Spain's Andrés Maroto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Xerardo Gasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrey Hauryk in the 63rd minute of the match. U21 Spain's Vinícius Gol was substituted for Enzo Mufazalov. 70 minutes into the game, David Ballester was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Spain's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Belarus the free kick. Mscislav Galaj came out and tried to block the shot, but Allande Sans slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 81st minute. Mscislav Galaj was a little too slow when Allande Sans got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 0-11. Allande Sans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mscislav Galaj having to interfere.
