Bernardo Abar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A hard shot by Leonardo Astrada from long distance, 23 minutes into the match, got Przemyslaw Szczęsny's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 27 minutes, Jerzy Niedbalski made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. U21 Poland's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
