The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 15th minute, Jerzy Niedbalski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Poland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Chiquito Flores came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Poland's Adam Nigbor. But to his dismay, Adam Nigbor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Chiquito Flores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Nigbor in the 24th minute of play. U21 Peru's Chiquito Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Nigbor in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, U21 Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Niedbalski came free, but Chiquito Flores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Adam Nigbor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. U21 Peru's Chiquito Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerzy Niedbalski in the 37th minute of play. U21 Peru's Dale Dolar was substituted for Xanti Gatnau. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dale Dolar made a kick off. If Jerzy Niedbalski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fabian Tomaszewski kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. U21 Poland's Ksawery Bilicki was substituted for Jerzy Niedbalski. In the 64th match minute, U21 Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Tomaszewski to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Ksawery Bilicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiquito Flores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Peru's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Ksawery Bilicki scored to the left of an out of position Chiquito Flores, making the score, 2-5. U21 Peru's Chiquito Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ksawery Bilicki in the 71st minute of play. Przemyslaw Szczęsny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Dolar in the 77th minute of play. Ksawery Bilicki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Chiquito Flores made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adam Nigbor got free with Chiquito Flores in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ksawery Bilicki in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chiquito Flores saved U21 Peru from getting behind. Chiquito Flores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ksawery Bilicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chiquito Flores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ksawery Bilicki's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute Cristian Sebastian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Przemyslaw Szczęsny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Dolar in the 95th minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Przemyslaw Szczęsny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Junior Quintana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Przemyslaw Szczęsny. U21 Poland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Junior Quintana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-6.
