The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Maurício Pinilla got the match started through his kick off. If Niceto Von Roques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th match minute, U21 Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wali Brama to maneuver through the defense. U21 Poland's Przemyslaw Szczęsny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Pinilla in the 19th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Maurício Pinilla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Przemyslaw Szczęsny. U21 Poland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maurício Pinilla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. U21 Poland's Przemyslaw Szczęsny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Pinilla in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute U21 Chile were awarded a corner. Teobaldo Bayo went to the cornerflag to take it. When Wali Brama fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Poland's protests and gave Wali Brama a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes U21 Poland got a freekick which was hit by Wali Brama. In the 31st minute, Maurício Pinilla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Przemyslaw Szczęsny was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. U21 Chile's José Luis González proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Chile from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Pinilla came free, but Przemyslaw Szczęsny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, U21 Poland's Fryderyk Hatman got a free kick in the 36th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurício Pinilla in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Przemyslaw Szczęsny saved U21 Poland from getting behind. Maurício Pinilla charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maurício Pinilla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maurício Pinilla hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adam Nigbor made a kick off. José Luis González showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wali Brama in the 54th minute of the match. When U21 Chile's Maurício Pinilla in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Poland's goalie prevented a goal. 62 minutes into the match, Wali Brama notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of U21 Chile's José Luis González. José Luis González was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. José Luis González showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Tomaszewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Markus Feres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 69 minutes into the game, Tytus Jajesniak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Poland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Chile the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in U21 Poland fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! José Luis González took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boruc Burdalski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, U21 Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Wali Brama came free, but José Luis González reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Maurício Pinilla came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the U21 Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Pinilla couldn't finish the play. U21 Poland's Przemyslaw Szczęsny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Pinilla in the 77th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Fabian Tomaszewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurício Pinilla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Przemyslaw Szczęsny read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. José Luis González showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Tomaszewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute, Teobaldo Bayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 Chile's Niceto Von Roques managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Black Kon in the 87 minute of the game. After a rather tough play, U21 Poland's Black Kon got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute, Maurício Pinilla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Markus Feres hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. U21 Chile walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
