An unexpectedly hard shot by Benediktas Kučinskas in the 19th minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Daniel Kieca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Kieca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabrielius Putvinskas in the 22nd minute of play. Justas Kukulskis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tanek Weyna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonello Messias took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Justas Kukulskis. Justas Kukulskis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Gabrielius Putvinskas hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Justas Kukulskis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tanek Weyna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Tanek Weyna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Justas Kukulskis. U21 Lithuania's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tanek Weyna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. U21 Poland's Daniel Kieca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romualdas Motiekaitis in the 35th minute of play. Ugnius Daškevičius kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Jerzy Gorgoń sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and U21 Lithuania's Justas Kukulskis didn't even have to move. Justas Kukulskis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonello Messias in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Benediktas Kučinskas made the kick off in the second half. U21 Lithuania's Justas Kukulskis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonello Messias in the 51st minute of play. Justas Kukulskis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonello Messias in the 53rd minute of play. Leonello Messias might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Justas Kukulskis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonello Messias ran back to his position shaking his head. Justas Kukulskis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonello Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 Lithuania's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
