Stevica Tomanić started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Leonello Messias scored 0-1 in the 2nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladislav Orahovac, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leonello Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vladislav Orahovac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonello Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Borisav Ćuzović came free, but Daniel Kieca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Serbia's Borisav Ćuzović managed to work through U21 Poland's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Borisav Ćuzović dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Vladimir Arsenović made in the 14th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Borisav Ćuzović however managed to control. Vladislav Orahovac showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonello Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. U21 Poland's Leonello Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Kieca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stevica Tomanić in the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of U21 Poland booed when U21 Serbia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marko Vidanović didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th match minute, U21 Serbia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Borisav Ćuzović to maneuver through the defense. Leonello Messias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladislav Orahovac read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Dragan Džajićs short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Daniel Kieca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game was made by Vladimir Arsenović with Dragan Džajić as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After having played for 46 minutes, Leonello Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Poland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonello Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Leonello Messias made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonello Messias got free with Vladislav Orahovac in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 51 played minutes U21 Serbia got a freekick which was hit by Borisav Ćuzović. With a little luck, U21 Serbia's Vladislav Orahovac got control of the ball when Leonello Messias tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 53 minutes U21 Serbia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jerzy Gorgoń who took care of the corner kick. A very nice done corner allowed Marek Popowicz to score against Vladislav Orahovac in U21 Serbia's goal. 0-2 after 54 minutes. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonello Messias in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vladislav Orahovac prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The throw-in from Vladimir Arsenović in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U21 Poland's Marek Popowicz. Vladislav Orahovac stood somewhat misplaced when Leonello Messias came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 62 minute. In the 65thth minute of the game Leonello Messias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Serbia's Vladislav Orahovac was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Kieca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tatomir Radišić in the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Stevica Tomanić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Kieca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonello Messias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vladislav Orahovac read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, U21 Serbia's goalkeeper Vladislav Orahovac had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonello Messias. U21 Poland made a substitution. Herbert Jazwiec replaced Kajetan Gdowik. In the 78th minute U21 Poland were awarded a corner. Leon Przybylo went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wawrzyniec Dejo in the 79th minute of play forced U21 Serbia's goalkeeper Vladislav Orahovac to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, U21 Serbia's goalkeeper Vladislav Orahovac had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leon Przybylo. Vladislav Orahovac made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Leon Przybylo sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Leon Przybylo sped through U21 Serbia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vladislav Orahovac. The U21 Serbia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U21 Poland's performance. The match ended with a win for U21 Poland.
