After some careless play in the France defense, Moritz Panara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teddy Cotte. The France fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teddy Cotte should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute Harold Gielen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teddy Cotte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Zurbuchen couldn't finish the play. Kylian Noyon hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Teddy Cotte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moritz Panara in the 38th minute of play. After 67 minutes, Moritz Panara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Switzerland and the France players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 67 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Moritz Panara. France's Teddy Cotte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save France from getting a goal against them. France's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Diego Farges in the 83rd minute.
