Kylian Noyon scored 2-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Billy Cinq-Mars, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the France defense, Moritz Panara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teddy Cotte. The France fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teddy Cotte should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute Harold Gielen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teddy Cotte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Billy Cinq-Mars showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrice Féral in the 33rd minute of the match. When Samuel Zurbuchen came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Switzerland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Zurbuchen couldn't finish the play. Kylian Noyon hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Teddy Cotte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moritz Panara in the 38th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Éthan Boucault hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Diego Farges hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moritz Panara was the one to do the kick off.
