Australia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lynge Oxe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. After 92 minutes, Sten Edellund made it 4-3 with a short kick to the right side. Australia's Damian Anderson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th minute Sten Edellund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Anderson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denmark were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Australia for a fine match.
