If Larry Hallam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of U21 Andorra booed when U21 Albania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mirel Kuli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Larry Hallam left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Andorra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 22nd minute, Zihni Treska left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Albania fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Michael Westwood made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Skerdi Demaci sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zihni Treska got free with Michael Westwood in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the U21 Albania defense, Cucu Fernández kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olgert Marku. The U21 Albania fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olgert Marku should have stopped the shot. Michael Westwood made an important save on a dangerous shot by Skerdi Demaci in the 38th minute. Olgert Marku showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cucu Fernández in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 47th minute Migen Margjeka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Westwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mirel Kuli made a kick off. In the 56th minute Migen Margjeka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Westwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute of the match, Larry Hallam got a very nice opportunity to score, but Olgert Marku was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Olgert Marku stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Larry Hallam's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Skerdi Demaci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olgert Marku was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Larry Hallam capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Larry Hallam really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. U21 Albania's Arlind Abeshi was substituted for Zihni Treska. U21 Albania's Zair Hasa was substituted for Migen Margjeka. U21 Andorra made a substitution. Shane Bland replaced Larry Hallam. 73 minutes into the game, Mirel Kuli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Michael Westwood was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Greg Green kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. U21 Andorra's Michael Westwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Skerdi Demaci in the 82nd minute of play. When Mirel Kuli was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. Olgert Marku made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shane Bland in the 85th minute of play. Shane Bland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Olgert Marku tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cucu Fernández could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Olgert Marku made a huge save. A collision led to U21 Albania getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Zair Hasa hit a great ball.
