The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Lamashkevich stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Ukraine defense, Liavon Kuzmich kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bogdan Osarchuk. The Ukraine fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bogdan Osarchuk should have stopped the shot. Belarus's Juljan Belkin suffered a concussion after 99 minutes and had to leave the field. Petro Pyatov's late challenge caught a Belarus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petro Pyatov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 100th minute, Petro Pyatov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
