Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aake Greding got the match started through his kick off. Switzerland's Ziro But played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Therkel Corrit in the 2nd minute of play. After 6 minutes Switzerland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pedrinho Pistol who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Pedrinho Pistol almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Switzerland's Ziro But did a great save. The throw-in from Jim Vollerup in the 8th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Switzerland's Jean-Charles van Zijderveld. Mourits Roepstorff hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Switzerland's Ziro But played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aake Greding in the 12th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Aake Greding left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Denmark fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 14 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Jim Vollerup. Lester Fenstermacher might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mouritz Elshauge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lester Fenstermacher ran back to his position shaking his head. Mouritz Elshauge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lester Fenstermacher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Lester Fenstermacher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mouritz Elshauge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Aake Greding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hendrik Sesa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 26th minute. Switzerland's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Switzerland's Hendrik Sesa came free and shot a quick shot against goal 34 minutes in the game, fortunately Mouritz Elshauge had problems saving as it came toward the left post. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Denmark's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gregor Schwab was slow to take the kick. During this time Switzerland's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Bertram Caron advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-1 in the 36th minute. Ziro But came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Denmark's Aake Greding. But to his dismay, Aake Greding quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 48 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Sindal came free, but Ziro But reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
The wind increased when Lester Fenstermacher made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Lester Fenstermacher came free, but Mouritz Elshauge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ziro But showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aake Greding in the 56th minute of the match. Lester Fenstermacher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hendrik Sesa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mouritz Elshauge having to interfere. Jim Vollerup made in the 68th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Switzerland's Hendrik Sesa. Mouritz Elshauge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quentin Vonrotz in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Jean-Charles van Zijderveld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Switzerland's Ziro But played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Sindal in the 79th minute of play. Ziro But made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Aake Greding sent off a good shot on target. Switzerland's Enea Bärtschi was substituted for Jean-Charles van Zijderveld. After 84 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Hendrik Sesa. Lester Fenstermacher's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mouritz Elshauge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the match, Aake Greding tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ziro But saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 95 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Maxime Moench came free, but Mouritz Elshauge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denmark were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
