But to his dismay, Roland Lehtpuu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jeff Hyde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Villem Indus, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, U21 Estonia's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Crane came free, but Villu Tilk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, U21 Northern Ireland's goal looked a bit too open when Kalev Veskur came free, but Jeff Hyde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeff Hyde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalev Veskur in the 14th minute of play. Darren Gunn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. U21 Northern Ireland's Martin Crane got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rdth minute of the game Kalev Veskur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Northern Ireland's Jeff Hyde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of U21 Northern Ireland booed when U21 Estonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ailar Nõmme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Villu Tilk was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Robert Finlay. Jeff Hyde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Villem Indus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes, Rick Hampshire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Northern Ireland and the U21 Estonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, U21 Northern Ireland's Rick Hampshire dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. In the 35th minute, Kalev Veskur made a precise shot to the right of Jeff Hyde. U21 Northern Ireland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 44th minute Martin Crane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Villu Tilk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeff Hyde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kalev Veskur in the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

U21 Estonia made a substitution. Alvar Remmelgas replaced Villem Indus. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Crane made a kick off. With a little luck, U21 Northern Ireland's Jeff Hyde got control of the ball when Roland Lehtpuu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeff Hyde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvar Remmelgas in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute of the match, Alvar Remmelgas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jeff Hyde saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jaan Viikmaa kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The supporters of U21 Northern Ireland booed when U21 Estonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaan Viikmaa didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Estonia's Villu Tilk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Archie Parrott in the 73rd minute of play. The nice shot from Kalev Veskur in the 76thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Jeff Hyde had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Jeff Hyde was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alvar Laidna showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 81 minute of play. Villu Tilk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Archie Parrott in the 85th minute of play. After 87 minutes U21 Estonia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tyrone Wall who took care of the corner kick. The corner led U21 Northern Ireland's Tyrone Wall to fire away a dangerous shot which Villu Tilk despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rick Hampshire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Villu Tilk having to interfere. Jeff Hyde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvar Laidna in the 96th minute of play.
