3 minutes into the game, Raúl Azócar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Chile's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Poland the free kick. After a rather tough play, U21 Chile's Raúl Azócar got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the match, U21 Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Dobromir Kaczucha came free, but Elmas Malo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Chile's goalkeeper Elmas Malo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Raymundo Ubiergo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of U21 Poland's Hugo Boss. Hugo Boss was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Barnaba Duda took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Elmas Malo to make any attempt to save it. U21 Poland's Olaf Sidor managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Anselmo Lavandero in the 23 minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Barnaba Duda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elmas Malo was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 26 minutes into the game, U21 Chile's Raúl Azócar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugo Boss made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Bruno Marco managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Marco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Lavandero hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Barnaba Duda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The throw-in from Alfred Mirowski in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U21 Chile's Anselmo Lavandero. 91 minutes into the game, U21 Poland's Amol Prost nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elmas Malo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. Grzegorz Hajto kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Astor Seisdedos in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Boss prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Dobromir Kaczucha fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Poland's protests and gave Dobromir Kaczucha a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to U21 Poland getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Dobromir Kaczucha hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. U21 Chile walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
