Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgar Lizano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rómulo Raglianti, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raymundo Ubiergo in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgar Lizano saved U21 Costa Rica from getting behind. Edgar Lizano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Bennet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elmas Malo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nery Tenorio in the 30th minute of the match. Rómulo Raglianti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Edgar Lizano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to U21 Costa Rica getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Heriberto Porras hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the game, Gerardo Bennet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Edgar Lizano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edgar Lizano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The U21 Chile players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
