Spectators: 10301 (Terracing: 7726, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) U21 Canada's Rickie Golden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save U21 Canada from getting a goal against them. A.J. Bowles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rickie Golden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Canada's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Armen Amirhanyan was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 United States's players had a chance to rest. U21 United States's Armen Amirhanyan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rickie Golden in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 9th minute, Hakan Pekgozlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute U21 United States were awarded a corner. Armen Amirhanyan went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on U21 United States's corner A.J. Bowles fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rickie Golden quite easily take care of the ball. In the 14th minute, Travis Dixon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clark Aaron struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Rickie Golden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 United States. Mihran Mkhitaryan hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Enoch Carrey came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Canada's Walton Fréchette. But to his dismay, Walton Fréchette quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Enoch Carrey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walton Fréchette in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, U21 United States was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Byron Dobson to maneuver through the defense. After 31 played minutes, U21 United States's Armen Amirhanyan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rickie Golden came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in U21 United States reached it. U21 United States's Clark Aaron was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 33rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Enoch Carrey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walton Fréchette in the 40th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Walton Fréchette put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Enoch Carrey. Enoch Carrey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakan Pekgozlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

U21 United States's Chupan Maria was substituted for A.J. Bowles. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clark Aaron to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes, U21 United States's Rodrick Finn shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rickie Golden came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in U21 United States reached it. After a rather tough play, U21 Canada's Krystian Żmuda got a free kick in the 58th minute. Enoch Carrey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Régis Rodriquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mihran Mkhitaryan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rickie Golden came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 United States's Clark Aaron. But to his dismay, Clark Aaron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Rickie Golden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mihran Mkhitaryan's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute of the match Rodrick Finn shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rickie Golden showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rickie Golden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clark Aaron, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clark Aaron in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rickie Golden saved U21 Canada from getting behind. Clark Aaron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Rickie Golden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. U21 United States's Xavier Duff was substituted for Clark Aaron. Kieth Gallardo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute, Armen Amirhanyan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Odell Diggs got free with Enoch Carrey in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. U21 United States's Enoch Carrey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakan Pekgozlu in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, U21 United States's goalkeeper Enoch Carrey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hakan Pekgozlu. The audience was convinced that Hakan Pekgozlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enoch Carrey was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
