They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Belarus's Aleksandr Yakovenko was substituted for Ruslan Bychkov. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blaine Keegan made a kick off. Farrell Bayes kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Ireland's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
