Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Seth Dunne in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johannes Adamson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 17 minutes into the game, Karmo Pahapill cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Francis Ashby was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Estonia's Villu Tamme quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jay Moorhouse, made in the 45th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Simon Hylton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Estonia were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after England's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Riivo Hinn took the corner. The corner led Estonia's Villu Tamme to fire away a dangerous shot which Francis Ashby despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Jass Allika's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francis Ashby was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind England's goalkeeper Francis Ashby, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. England were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Estonia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Connell took the corner. After taking down the ball on England's corner Kristopher Banks fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Johannes Adamson quite easily take care of the ball. England were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Estonia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Connell took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Sebastian Woodhall heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. England made a substitution. Ozzy Billing replaced Gareth Westlake. England's Terry Milburn was substituted for Alec Keane. England's Rory Rusk was substituted for Simon Hylton. Riivo Hinn might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francis Ashby. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Riivo Hinn ran back to his position shaking his head. 81 minutes into the match, England's goal looked a bit too open when Riivo Hinn came free, but Francis Ashby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johannes Adamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rory Rusk in the 84th minute of the match. Jay Moorhouse made in the 87th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Barrie Potter however managed to control. Meelis Mihklisaar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Francis Ashby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Estonia's goal looked a bit too open when Rory Rusk came free, but Johannes Adamson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johannes Adamson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rory Rusk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johannes Adamson came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by England's Barrie Potter. But to his dismay, Barrie Potter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, Estonia could leave the field as winners, despite England having more of the ball for most of the match.
