After a rather tough play, U21 Montenegro's Milan Medojević got a free kick in the 11th minute. U21 Canada's Clayton Murdock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manjo Zorić in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute Aimé Davenport shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dobrašin Karanikić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When U21 Canada's Aimé Davenport in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Montenegro's goalie prevented a goal. Tarzan Mrđa charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of U21 Canada booed when U21 Montenegro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarzan Mrđa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27thth minute of the game Aimé Davenport who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Montenegro's Dobrašin Karanikić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dobrašin Karanikić came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Canada's Adrien Cochran. But to his dismay, Adrien Cochran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dobrašin Karanikić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Colin Caballero in the 33rd minute of play. Vladan Dragutinović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Clayton Murdock made a huge save. U21 Canada's Clayton Murdock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Canada from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Adrien Cochran sped through U21 Montenegro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dobrašin Karanikić. The audience thought a goal was coming when Avram Perković got free with Clayton Murdock in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ezekiel Addison in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dobrašin Karanikić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 46 minutes into the match, U21 Montenegro's goal looked a bit too open when Adrien Cochran came free, but Dobrašin Karanikić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute Adrien Cochran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dobrašin Karanikić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tarzan Mrđa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarzan Mrđa in the 51st minute of play forced U21 Canada's goalkeeper Clayton Murdock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, U21 Canada's goal looked a bit too open when Tarzan Mrđa came free, but Clayton Murdock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on U21 Montenegro's corner Milan Medojević fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Clayton Murdock quite easily take care of the ball. Clayton Murdock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avram Perković, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aimé Davenport in the 66th minute of play forced U21 Montenegro's goalkeeper Dobrašin Karanikić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colin Caballero struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Dobrašin Karanikić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Canada. U21 Canada's Leandro Doss was substituted for Colin Caballero. When Arthur Antunes Coimbra fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Canada's protests and gave Arthur Antunes Coimbra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Arthur Antunes Coimbra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dobrašin Karanikić was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Adrien Cochran capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adrien Cochran really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Dobrašin Karanikić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrien Cochran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute Arthur Antunes Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dobrašin Karanikić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, U21 Montenegro's goalkeeper Dobrašin Karanikić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrien Cochran. Dobrašin Karanikić made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Ezekiel Addison sent off a good shot on target.
