Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Eilif Vennersborg started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpected shot in the 3rd minute by Lukasz Gornik got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Denmark's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel McLian was slow to take the kick. During this time Ireland's players had a chance to rest. Bjarke Gravgaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward McJohnny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Harley Frankson made a precise shot to the right of Bjarke Gravgaard. Denmark's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 23 minutes into the game, Daniel McLian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Bjarke Gravgaard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute, Kieran Robinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Klibo to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel McLian came free, but Bjarke Gravgaard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Banon Cassin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eilif Vennersborg went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Denmark's Sonny Steinbo got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eilif Vennersborg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joe Burke kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, Harley Frankson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bjarke Gravgaard came out of the goal and Harley Frankson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
A sloppy throw-in by Egon Skibild in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ireland's Lukasz Gornik. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel McLian in the 51st minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Bjarke Gravgaard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sonny Steinbo came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sonny Steinbo couldn't finish the play. Bjarke Gravgaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harley Frankson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Daniel McLian got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bjarke Gravgaard quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Banon Cassin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eilif Vennersborg in the 68th minute of play. Ireland's Daniel McLian got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ireland made a substitution. Diego Maradona replaced Daniel McLian. In the 76th minute Diego Maradona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bjarke Gravgaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bjarke Gravgaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Maradona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Maradona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bernhardt Bilmark's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Banon Cassin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Sonny Steinbo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sonny Steinbo to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ireland fans cheered their team off the field, for while Denmark had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
