The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Algeria's Djamel Saadane slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tuomo Tirkkonen. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. 8 minutes into the match, Moussa Khadra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tuomo Tirkkonen. U21 Finland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moussa Khadra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 11 minutes, Moussa Khadra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Algeria and the U21 Finland players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to U21 Algeria getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Moussa Khadra hit a great ball. In the 15th minute Moussa Khadra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuomo Tirkkonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moussa Khadra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuomo Tirkkonen having to interfere. The throw-in from Anselmi Kortelainen in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U21 Algeria's Abdechahid Chebal. U21 Algeria's Bakezda Meriem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atte Sulku in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Moussa Khadra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tuomo Tirkkonen. The goal made the score 3-1. 4-1 became the score in the 31st minute when Moussa Khadra elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 37th minute Atte Sulku shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bakezda Meriem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Moussa Khadra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tuomo Tirkkonen. Moussa Khadra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-1. Atte Sulku received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Bakezda Meriem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moussa Khadra was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, U21 Algeria's Moussa Khadra made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tuomo Tirkkonen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Atte Sulku recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tuomo Tirkkonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moussa Khadra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmi Kortelainen kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Tuomo Tirkkonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moussa Khadra, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khaldoun Ouadah in the 69th minute of play forced U21 Finland's goalkeeper Tuomo Tirkkonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bakezda Meriem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Atte Sulku's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute, Abdechahid Chebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Moussa Khadra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tuomo Tirkkonen. U21 Finland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moussa Khadra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-1. Tuomo Tirkkonen came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Algeria's Moussa Khadra. But to his dismay, Moussa Khadra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aarni Viklund in the 94th minute of play forced U21 Algeria's goalkeeper Bakezda Meriem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Moussa Khadra notched a goal, 12-1, to the right of U21 Finland's Tuomo Tirkkonen. Tuomo Tirkkonen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
