Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Hermelando Millán who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Sanad Hayat when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Saudi Arabia's zone, Hermelando Millán stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sanad Hayat came out of the goal and Hermelando Millán tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermelando Millán received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Sanad Hayat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tonete Aguilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sanad Hayat having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Hermelando Millán took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Sanad Hayat to make any attempt to save it. 19 minutes into the match, U21 Saudi Arabia's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Tono came free, but Sanad Hayat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, U21 Saudi Arabia's Sanad Hayat got control of the ball when Hermelando Millán tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Saudi Arabia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ginés Ponte was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Spain's players had a chance to rest. The corner led U21 Spain's Ginés Ponte to fire away a dangerous shot which Sanad Hayat despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 24th minute, Hermelando Millán left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Spain fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 30th minute of the match, César Manrique tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sanad Hayat saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 33 minutes, Hermelando Millán managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Spain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermelando Millán was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. U21 Saudi Arabia's Sanad Hayat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nesor Montaña in the 36th minute of play. If Hermelando Millán had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atauri Bastida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nayef Al Ammar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Sanad Hayat managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when U21 Spain's Hermelando Millán fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. U21 Spain made a substitution. Roger Torrent replaced Anxel Morera. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hermelando Millán to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Nesor Montaña ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sanad Hayat was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. U21 Spain's Hermelando Millán got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yazeed Al Jalahma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute Egun Japón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sanad Hayat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, U21 Spain's Roger Torrent got a free kick in the 65th minute. Nayef Al Ammar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Atauri Bastida when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 74th minute, Nayef Al Ammar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sanad Hayat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egun Japón in the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to U21 Saudi Arabia getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Nizar Al Naqi hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, César Manrique put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sanad Hayat. 91 minutes into the match, U21 Saudi Arabia's goal looked a bit too open when Chan Freire came free, but Sanad Hayat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Spain walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
