Hermelando Millán received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Sanad Hayat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tonete Aguilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sanad Hayat having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Hermelando Millán took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Sanad Hayat to make any attempt to save it. 19 minutes into the match, U21 Saudi Arabia's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Tono came free, but Sanad Hayat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, U21 Saudi Arabia's Sanad Hayat got control of the ball when Hermelando Millán tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Saudi Arabia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Atauri Bastida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nayef Al Ammar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Sanad Hayat managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when U21 Spain's Hermelando Millán fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. U21 Spain made a substitution. Roger Torrent replaced Anxel Morera. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hermelando Millán to strike the kick off in the second half. Sanad Hayat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egun Japón in the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to U21 Saudi Arabia getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Nizar Al Naqi hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, César Manrique put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sanad Hayat. 91 minutes into the match, U21 Saudi Arabia's goal looked a bit too open when Chan Freire came free, but Sanad Hayat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Spain walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
