Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bernhardt Hoefer took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience was convinced that Dennis-Sven Borgmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stephan Blackham was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Abe Rose managed to get in a good position for a shot. Australia's supporters rose to their feet, but Abe Rose was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Vollmari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roman Vollmari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abe Rose in the 9th minute of the match. Austria's Roman Vollmari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abe Rose in the 12th minute of play. Abe Rose might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Vollmari. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abe Rose ran back to his position shaking his head. 15 minutes into the match, Austria's goal looked a bit too open when Abe Rose came free, but Roman Vollmari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Australia's Abe Rose nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roman Vollmari made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernhardt Hoefer in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stephan Blackham saved Australia from getting behind. In the 27th minute Abe Rose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Vollmari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Abe Rose had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roman Vollmari. Austria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abe Rose was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the last second Stephan Blackham throw himself and got hold of the ball when Dennis-Sven Borgmann in the 32ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Stephan Blackham made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Bernhardt Hoefer sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Bernhardt Hoefer sped through Australia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stephan Blackham. Bernhardt Hoefer came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Stephan Blackham could save by the left post. In the 41st minute, Dennis-Sven Borgmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Austria getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Mathias Schmidt hit a great ball.
Abe Rose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Roman Vollmari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abe Rose, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 56th minute Abe Rose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Vollmari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Australia's goal looked a bit too open when Bernhardt Hoefer came free, but Stephan Blackham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abe Rose struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Roman Vollmari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Australia. Bernhardt Hoefer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stephan Blackham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Alberto Huntington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Roman Vollmari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Elliot Rishton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roman Vollmari was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 70thth minute of the game Bernhardt Hoefer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Australia's Stephan Blackham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elliot Rishton in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roman Vollmari prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Australia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alberto Huntington in the 73rd minute. The corner led Australia's Casper Kanack to fire away a dangerous shot which Roman Vollmari despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Austria's David Kuntz quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cliff Delahide, made in the 75th minute of the game. Hermann Nagel struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Stephan Blackham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Austria. Roman Vollmari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elliot Rishton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elliot Rishton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Roman Vollmari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elliot Rishton might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Vollmari. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elliot Rishton ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Australia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
