Jalal Al Ammar made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute Jalal Al Ammar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inko Lopez de Toro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Locaio Morales got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Shjae Al Sarraf quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. U21 Saudi Arabia's Shjae Al Sarraf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rai Eibar in the 8th minute of play. Shjae Al Sarraf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rai Eibar in the 11th minute. Shjae Al Sarraf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernando Llorente in the 14th minute. Pelayo Contratas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shjae Al Sarraf having to interfere. U21 Spain's Ginés Ponte was substituted for Graciano Teresa. 22 minutes into the match, U21 Saudi Arabia's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Llorente came free, but Shjae Al Sarraf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mnawer Al Jalahma in the 25th minute of play forced U21 Spain's goalkeeper Inko Lopez de Toro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jalal Al Ammar struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Inko Lopez de Toro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Saudi Arabia. 32 minutes into the match, U21 Saudi Arabia's Mnawer Al Jalahma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inko Lopez de Toro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Shjae Al Sarraf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ginés Ponte in the 33rd minute of the match. Inko Lopez de Toro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jalal Al Ammar's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Mnawer Al Jalahma had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Inko Lopez de Toro. U21 Spain's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mnawer Al Jalahma was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 47 minutes into the match, U21 Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Jalal Al Ammar came free, but Inko Lopez de Toro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

U21 Spain's Peio Sobrado was substituted for Pelayo Contratas. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bastia Redondo made a kick off. Inko Lopez de Toro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faraj Al Matrok, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Shjae Al Sarraf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rai Eibar, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. U21 Spain's Marcelo Lopez de Toro was substituted for Charly Uruguai. Inko Lopez de Toro made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Mnawer Al Jalahma sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute Bastia Redondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shjae Al Sarraf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute Rai Eibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shjae Al Sarraf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shjae Al Sarraf came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Spain's Rai Eibar. But to his dismay, Rai Eibar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 76 played minutes U21 Saudi Arabia got a freekick which was hit by Faraj Al Matrok. In the 77th minute Rai Eibar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shjae Al Sarraf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 78 played minutes U21 Spain got a freekick which was hit by Bastia Redondo. After a rather tough play, U21 Spain's Bastia Redondo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Faraj Al Matrok sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 85 minutes into the game, Sayed Al Mansor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Saudi Arabia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Spain the free kick. In the 86th match minute, U21 Saudi Arabia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sayed Al Mansor to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jalal Al Ammar got free with Inko Lopez de Toro in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the U21 Saudi Arabia defense, Fernando Llorente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shjae Al Sarraf. The U21 Saudi Arabia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shjae Al Sarraf should have stopped the shot. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Spain's goalkeeper Inko Lopez de Toro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. U21 Spain's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
