César Patri came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Huly Abar could save by the left post. If Amancio Delpiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Bolivia's Huly Abar got control of the ball when Amancio Delpiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Ignacio Baier succeeded in the game's 37th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Amancio Delpiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Huly Abar made a huge save. César Patri scored 3-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Huly Abar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell César Patri to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Cordarius Abancens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferrando Isassi. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cordarius Abancens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Huly Abar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Patri in the 57th minute of the match. Saturnin Abad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Ferrando Isassi made a huge save. Huly Abar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Delpiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Chile's Amancio Delpiano got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chile's Diego Armando Druganski was substituted for Amancio Delpiano. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Chile were victorious despite being under pressure from Bolivia for much of the match.
