With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cosme Ampudia in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iraido Abella saved U21 Bolivia from getting behind. Iraido Abella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosme Ampudia, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. U21 Colombia's Brion Rico was substituted for Rameriz Lopes. A hard shot 44 in the game by Eudoxio Abenda from a close distance when the talented Efrain Sanchez managed to make a qualified save. U21 Colombia's players were relieved. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eudoxio Abenda to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Eudoxio Abenda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Efrain Sanchez was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. U21 Bolivia's Iraido Abella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brion Rico in the 54th minute of play. Efrain Sanchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eudoxio Abenda, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. U21 Bolivia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eudoxio Abenda in the 60th minute. A collision led to U21 Bolivia getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Jacinto Abella hit a great ball. In the 64th match minute, U21 Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eudoxio Abenda to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Eudoxio Abenda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, U21 Bolivia's goal looked a bit too open when Polo Viramontez came free, but Iraido Abella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Polo Viramontez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iraido Abella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Efrain Sanchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eudoxio Abenda in the 80th minute of play. Iraido Abella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferman Ezquibela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ferman Ezquibela received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iraido Abella came out and tried to block the shot, but Ferman Ezquibela slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 87th minute. U21 Bolivia made a substitution. Ermengol Abechuco replaced Erubiel Abad. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eudoxio Abenda in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Efrain Sanchez prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
