Spectators: 10302 (Terracing: 7727, Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Thom Walch made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, U21 Colombia's Jaime Pombo got a free kick in the 2nd minute. A collision led to U21 Luxembourg getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Luka Nassau-Weilburg hit a great ball. If Jaime Pombo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 11 minutes, Anibal Naranjo made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. U21 Luxembourg's Ruben Bodenschatz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the match, U21 Luxembourg's goal looked a bit too open when Anibal Naranjo came free, but Ruben Bodenschatz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thibaut Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thom Walch in the 16th minute of play. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Thom Walch sped through U21 Colombia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Thibaut Courtois. In the 21st minute of the match U21 Colombia got a corner. U21 Luxembourg's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jhonny Ramírez ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 21st minute, Chepe Barral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Ruben Bodenschatz managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when U21 Colombia's Jaime Pombo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thom Walch took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thibaut Courtois. Thibaut Courtois dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Mederi Vagrande made in the 42nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Baudelio Gill immediately put the ball in play. After 43 played minutes U21 Luxembourg got a freekick which was hit by Luka Nassau-Weilburg. Jaime Pombo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Ruben Bodenschatz made a huge save. 44 minutes into the game, Jaime Pombo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruben Bodenschatz. Jaime Pombo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

U21 Colombia's Abel Aguilar was substituted for Mauro Colomes. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pombo made a kick off. The throw-in from Mederi Vagrande in the 52nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U21 Luxembourg's Luka Nassau-Weilburg. Chepe Barral struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Ruben Bodenschatz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Colombia. Anibal Naranjo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. U21 Luxembourg made a substitution. Simon Diederich replaced Tom Mutzel. After 60 played minutes U21 Luxembourg got a freekick which was hit by Marlon Vassell. U21 Luxembourg's Ruben Bodenschatz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Naranjo in the 62nd minute of play. Jaime Pombo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pombo in the 74th minute of play forced U21 Luxembourg's goalkeeper Ruben Bodenschatz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute Damian Batty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thibaut Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Batty in the 81st minute of play forced U21 Colombia's goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Thibaut Courtois successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. U21 Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jhonny Ramírez in the 86th minute. The corner ended in Baudelio Gill almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but U21 Luxembourg's Ruben Bodenschatz did a great save. In the 92nd match minute, U21 Luxembourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Nassau-Weilburg to maneuver through the defense. U21 Colombia's Mederi Vagrande suffered a sore knee after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Georg Nassau-Weilburg charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Georg Nassau-Weilburg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Georg Nassau-Weilburg kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Simon Diederich kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Jaime Pombo took the ball and in the 100 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruben Bodenschatz. Ruben Bodenschatz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. When the referee ended the match the U21 Colombia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
