In the 15th match minute, Philippines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harold Querimit to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Philippines's Bayan Yase got control of the ball when Ilkka Nieminen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bayan Yase showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aimo Modig in the 20th minute of the match. In the 29thth minute of the game Ilkka Nieminen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Philippines's Bayan Yase was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luisito Benitez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Pitkänen having to interfere. In the 37th minute Ilkka Nieminen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bayan Yase saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bayan Yase showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aimo Modig, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ilkka Nieminen to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Finland's goalkeeper Robert Pitkänen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arthur Pumaren. Philippines's Bayan Yase played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iisakki Möksy in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Philippines's Nur Conlu got a free kick in the 74th minute. Bayan Yase took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilkka Nieminen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Harold Querimit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Finland's Ukko Mattila was substituted for Ilkka Nieminen. After a rather tough play, Philippines's Harold Querimit got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Bayan Yase showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ukko Mattila, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute.
