Radu Dascălu was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Romania's players had a chance to rest. Cezar Pascariu took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oberst-Wilhelm Von Bischhoffshausen. Mouritz Hikon made in the 30th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Aksel Hedtoft. 33 minutes into the match, Terry Teikov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tudor Vladimirescu, 1-1. 44 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's Marin Buznea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oberst-Wilhelm Von Bischhoffshausen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
